Q. Can I request a roommate on the tour?

A. We do not guarantee shares, however if someone else on the program requests a roommate we will have you exchange phone numbers to discuss the arrangement.

Q. Can I smoke on the tour?

A. We ask that there be no smoking on group transportation, and during group functions, such as sightseeing, lectures, and meals. Should you request it, a smoking room will be requested on your behalf.

Q. Are gratuities included in my tour cost?

A. If you are traveling on a Travel Plans International Group Tour, or one of our client’s programs, gratuities to drivers, porters, waiters, site guide, local guide, and tour director are usually included for group functions. Please see the Terms and Conditions of the specific program for additional information. If you are traveling on one of our Vacation Packages or on a Cutomized Program, gratuities to service personnel are not included.

Q. What type of clothing should I pack for my trip?

A. The type of clothing you bring depends on the time of travel and destination. In general, we recommend packing lightweight, comfortable clothing, and dressing in layers. You may want to bring good walking shoes with a non-slip sole, slippers, bathing suit(s), jeans, casual pants, walking shorts, lightweight tops and t-shirts, and a light sweater or jacket. Besides your normal toiletries, don’t forget sun block, sunglasses, insect repellant, and a hat.
