Superbly located on the right bank of the Tiber, between the Spanish Steps and St. Peter's Basilica, the Hotel dei Mellini, a superior four star hotel, is the ideal start to discover the beautiful sites of Rome and visit the best shopping area. It consists of two interconnected buildings, one with four floors and the other one with six, both of which were totally renovated in 1995. The top floor has a terrace overlooking the neighborhood, including baroque cupolas of several churches. Interior decor includes Art Deco touches, Italian marble, and mahogany furniture. Accommodations with room numbers ending in "16" have large sitting areas. The clean, full baths have are not huge but have adequate space and are nicely appointed. Hotel dei Mellini is ranked among the top 1% of Rome hotels.
