Hotel Ranieri is in a large eighteenth century building in the center of Rome, located between Porta Pia and the Quirinale, a short walking distance from Via Veneto and a 20 minute brisk walk to the Spanish Steps. Oswaldo Ranieri, who succceeded his parents as owner of the hotel, has created a warm ambience for a stay characterised by top quality comfort. The rooms and facilities are actually nicer than many of Rome's 4 star hotels, but the prices are lower than 4 star because Hotel Ranieri, although in a safe area, is not quite as convenient to the heart of Ancient Rome as our other featured properties.
A breakfast room is located on the second floorwhere guests can enjoy warm croissants, cappuccinos and other wholesome sweets every morning. Breakfast can also be served in your room at no charge and the kitchen will also prepare lunch or dinner to be served in your room (extra cost). Bathrooms have showers in bathtubs and there is in-room temperature control of the air conditioning and heating. There is elevator service to all floors and you should ask for an upper floor if you want to keep the windows open at night (Via XX Septembre is a busy main street). The hotel has 24 hour concierge service, 24 hour turnaround on laundry service, and an Internet point with DSL. During their renovation period there were a few complaints about this hotel, but since renovations were completed (mid-2005), customer ratings of Hotel Ranieri have been perfect. It is one of our favorites in Rome, both because of the facilities and also because of the helpful, friendly staff.
