Our clients often say that Relais Parco Fiorito was the highlight of their trip to Italy. Used for one of the scenes in the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun", and a favorite place to stay for Frances Mayes (author of the book on which the movie is based), Parco Fiorito is a small farm but primarily a country inn (agriturismo). Roberto Russo and his children, Claudia and Giuseppe, own and manage this "agriturismo of charme" and are the embodiment of rural hospitality. Roberto is a chef who offers cooking classes in his kitchen and also produces Parco Fiorito's own brand of wine and olive oil. Most of the delicious food served from the kitchen is raised organically on the farm.
Restored by Roberto from a 16th century convent and two adjacent farmhouses, Parco Fiorito offers 6 apartments and 4 suites, fully independent with kitchens and en suite bathrooms, with traditional wooden and "cotto" fittings. You can stay on either a B&B or self-catering basis, but you you will cheat yourself if you don't have at least one dinner with Roberto and Claudia in the main house. There is an open air 16 station fitness center and you can relax under a pleasant pergola (vine covered trellis), use one of the 2 swimming pools, or sunbathe in the solarium. The property has a magnificent view of Cortona, which is 4 miles from Relais Parco Fiorito (actually just across the Tuscan border in Umbria).
