Villa Bordoni is a16 th century villa, nestled in the hills immediately above the town of Greve, capital of the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany.
It was discovered by the Gardner family in the winter of 2002. David and Catherine Gardner, both Scottish-born, are the founders and owners of successful Florentine restaurants "Baldovino" and "Beccofino". For years they had searched for the ideal property to open a luxurious but unpretentious country-house hotel in the Florentine Chianti.
The house, Italian garden and its six hectares of olive groves and vines have been lovingly restored to their former splendour, that David and Catherine are proud to present their new hotel and restaurant, Villa Bordoni.
Villa Bordoni is among Condé Nast Traveller's "60 Best New Hotels in the World" list for 2006.
